Following formal training in nutritional and natural medicine, nutritional bio-chemistry, fitness and counselling, Jo’anne has developed a system of assessing patients which considers the client’s unique bio-chemistry. This model has proved extremely successful and over the past 12 years Jo’anne has been able to help patients achieve their goals when all else has failed.
Within the last 18 months Jo’anne has been using genetic profiling to provide targeted nutritional and lifestyle inventions for her patients. Until now the comprehensive assessments Jo’anne conducts for her patients has provided information on the genetic expression (phenotype) of the patients’ genes.
The benefits obtained through genetic profiling enables Jo’anne to provide dietary, nutritional and lifestyle advice which not only improves the patient’s health, but reduces the patient’s risk of genetically pre-disposed medical conditions and disease.
Jo’anne is so passionate about the benefits of genetic profiling, that she uses profiling as part of her standard nutritional assessment with all of her patients.
